Our combined expertise allowed us to build a minority-owned business called Chieftain Polymers from the ground up in 2003. The combined resources of freight and warehousing from our partner, The Hollingsworth Group, allowed us to stake a unique claim in the minority resin distribution business.
In 2004, the owners of Chieftain partnered with Mitsui Plastics (the M in JM) to form JM Polymers. By 2005, the business evolved to what is now a wholly owned U.S. company, doing business primarily in the NAFTA region.
JM Polymers is a distributor of commodity and engineering grade plastic raw materials. We distribute prime, generic prime, and recycled resins. We also manufacture and market a full line of engineered plastics under the JM Polymers trade name. Please check our products page for more information.
We are committed to the plastics industry and maintain memberships in the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) chapters in Detroit, Chicago, Miami Valley (Ohio), and Pittsburgh. We encourage our customers, suppliers, and colleagues to participate in this worthwhile organization. Please see more on our SPE involvement here.
